The Healthcare Summer Internship Program hosted by the UT Southwestern Office for Institutional Opportunity is a full-time immersive summer experience designed for undergraduate students who are interested in or exploring careers in a health care environment.

Interns are placed in one of three areas:

  • Administrative
  • Clinical
  • Research

The program begins in June and runs for 8 to 9 weeks, with interns placed in various departments across UT Southwestern. In addition to their regular internship responsibilities, interns participate in weekly professional development sessions designed to enhance their skills and support their career growth. At the conclusion of the program, interns share their experiences and highlight what they have learned through a poster presentation session during the closing ceremony.
